Why are we celebrating Queensday?
Queensday is the biggest birthday party of the Dutch Queen . Queensday is held on the 3oth of April, though the birthday of Queen Beatrix is on the 31 of January, This is because her mother former Queen Juliana was born on the 30th of April. Everybody in the Netherlands is in the orange craze. This is because the Queens family is heritage of the house of Orange-Nassau.
Why Queensday is so great?
One of the best holidays in the Netherlands is Queensday. Because the whole country is turned orange, the dutch form a unity in the positive sense. . With a lot of parties and things to do, this country becomes a big festival. It looks like Oktoberfest meets Brazilian Carnaval meets the biggest free market of the world. And it is not 1 day of celebrating Queensday but 2 days, Queensnight and Queensday.
What is Queensnight (Koninginnenacht) ?

We are starting on the evening of 29th of April, known as Queensnight (Koninginnenacht). Amsterdam and other cities and village in the Netherlands are over floating by people. Who are warming up for the Queen's birthday.
What to do on Queensnight in Amsterdam?
The evening is starting when everybody is finished work or school. Some people are going to the city to have a drink and celebrate in the clubs and bars that are open till the early morning. And a lot of bars and neighborhoods are giving events on the streets. These festivals are usually open till 01.00.
